Promoting Remembrance:

Promoting Remembrance is part of The Royal Canadian Legion’s mission and has been one of our principal objectives since our inception. The Legion inspires Canadians to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, and to honour those who served and continue to serve today. Remembrance is a year-long commitment and we endeavor to promote it through a number of programs, services and resources.

Remember - Lest We Forget - 2023

The 2023 Poppy Campaign begins on Fri, 27 Oct. Any member wishing to assist with poppies can sign up for shifts on the posted sign up schedule in the clubroom.

Wear your poppy starting on 27 Oct 2023.

The legion Remembrance Day ceremony will take place on Sat, Nov 11th at 1055 at our Victoria Park in Colborne. We will be rededicating our WWII cenotaph to the WWII and current conflict cenotaph. Everyone is welcome.

Branch 187 will be hosting their annual veterans dinner to honour our local veterans within Colborne. Tickets are $25.00 per person and can be obtained at the legion. Contact Linda Furgusson for more information.

Wreaths for Nov 11th may be obtained at the legion anytime after 26 Oct. See any member of the Poppy Committee to complete the form and get your wreath. Large wreaths are $40.00 and small wreaths are $20.00
