Moonshot euchre tourney Sept. 7

The next moonshot euchre tournament will be held Sunday, September 7 at Colborne Legion. Register ($5 per player) by noon for an afternoon of play. Great prizes to be won! A homemade, delicious lunch is available for just $3.

Annual golf tourney coming up Sept. 21

Enjoy a friendly afternoon of nine holes of golf Sunday, Sept. 21. The annual Colborne Legion Mixed Golf Tournament is being held at Salt Creek Golf Links. Cost is just $30 per person which includes golfing, prizes and a meal afterward at Colborne Legion (carts are available to rent). It’s a shotgun start at 1 p.m.. Drop off donation for Trash ‘N Treasures starting Aug. 2

The annual community-wide Trash ‘N Treasures garage sale is coming up quickly. Colborne will hum with crowds of treasure- and bargain-hunters from the early hours through the afternoon Saturday, August 9. Colborne Legion will once again be offering our famous barbecued homemade hamburgers, peameal bacon on a bun and hot dogs on the front lawn at 892 King St. East.

Catch the bargains on the sales tables! You can rent a table for $10 — or drop off donated items at the Legion for the sale anytime after August 2. The Legion is open daily from 1 p.m. on. It is always a fun day in the community.

Roast Beef Dinner Friday, Aug. 1

How about a yummy, homemade Roast Beef Dinner this Friday, August 1? The Colborne Legion invites you to enjoy roast beef, potatoes, veggies, salad, homemade Yorkshire pudding, gravy, bread, tea and coffee and a yummy homemade dessert. Dinner is being served 5 to 6:30 p.m.. Kids under five years of age dine for free.

Annual deep-fried turkey dinner Friday, July 18

It’s Christmas In July this Friday, July 18 at Colborne Legion. A special dinner is being served! Your choice of deep-fried or roasted turkey, fresh cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, gravy, two veggies, chef’s salad and, for that special dessert, carrot cake with cream cheese icing, tea or coffee too.
