Author’s Series returns Sept. 30: Gil McElroy

With fall comes the return of our Author’s Evening series. We’ve decided to hold the events on Sunday afternoons to make it easier for those of you who want to “come from away” to attend. On Sunday, Sept. 30, from 2 to 4 p.m., meet author Gil McElroy.
Gil McElroy will be reading from his latest book, “Cold Comfort: Growing Up Vold War” published this past May by Talonbooks. It gives an “army brat’s” perspective of growing up in a family whose father’s military career was integral to the building of Canada’s electronic defence system, including the Distant Early Warning (DEW) Line. An award-winning poet and curator, Gil McElroy land wife Heather live in Colborne. You’ll be sure to enjoy this opportunity to meet with the erudite and thoughtful author. There is no entry fee.
